Advice Work
Sometimes
people are reluctant to access the mainstream agencies when they are
experiencing difficulties. By giving generic advice and offering signposting
services, Kenyan Community Bedford acts as a bridge between ethnic minorities
and the mainstream agencies.
Our organisations main aims are supported by values, which it calls its commitment:
To offer advice, guidance and make sure service users have
available
information and access available resources.
To make sure that all its service users are central in the organisation,
so they can influence its policies, develop services, address their needs
and actively contribute to the decision making process.
To create
a safe friendly and welcoming environment which offer time and space to meet the needs of service users, paid staff, volunteers and visitors.
To value and respect diversity needs of its service users or clients.
To ensure that all service users receive a good quality service which is
in line with the organisations equal opportunity policy.
Equal Opportunity Policy
