EXPERIENCE AT THE BBC TELEVISION CENTRE
The club visited BBC television Centre and learnt first hand how programmes
are produced. Children took part in making their own CBBC television
programme, some were behind the camera, others presented the news, reading the
autocue while others were involved in making the Weakest Link programme. The
children had the opportunity to learn how the Weather forecast is produced.
Everyone had a role to play in the whole experience-others were behind the scenes at
the technical rooms. Later the children watched a LIVE RECORDING at the
Blue Peter Garden. At the live recording it was hard keeping the children quite
as even a sneeze would affect the recording!
